I am based in Alexandria, Virginia, just outside of Washington D.C. I've lived in several different states, including Pennsylvania for 6 years, so I am still very familiar with Eastern PA and the Pocono Mountains. I grew up in Memphis, TN, though, and have a traveler's soul. 

So, HECK YES! I will travel wherever you want to elope! All of my travel in included in pricing within the specified region of each collection. 

No matter what location you choose in the world that’s accessible by standard commercial airlines and a 2WD car, there’s no extra fee- I’ll take care of all my own travel costs. (It just might be a bit more if you want to take a helicopter, hot air balloon, ect.)

There are no rules on how to define your elopement. You can 100% include close family & friends on your elopement day! You can involve them in the entire day or have an adventure with just the two of you part of the day and then meet up with your guests for the ceremony & reception. 

I usually do cap it at 25-35 people for elopements, though, because any more will begin to take focus away from the couple & the reason why you chose to elope is to create a unique experience just for you. Small weddings can have up tp 50 people but I only take on a limited number of those per year. 

National and state parks or more remote locations most likely have a guest limit of under 20 people per permit rules.

How Does Payment Work?

I require a 50% non-refundable retainer at the signing of the contract. That officially books your date!  You'll immediately get access to all of my elopement planning guides or my outfit style guide for engagement/couple sessions. 

The remainder 50% is due 30 days before your elopement date or 2 weeks before your Engagement/Couples session date! That way you can know everything is taken care of and get excited for your wedding day or session!

I send invoices through HoneyBook so you can sign the contract and pay online. Super easy. 

How do you hike in wedding attire?
Do we have to hike? 

Adventure is however you define it. Hiking and trails are not required for an amazing elopement adventure. In fact, I'm here for more the couples who do enjoy the outdoors but want easily accessible locations or go on easy 1-2 mile hikes or hang out in city locations. 

You can embrace the mess, wear hiking boots and get your dress dirty (turns out great in photos). Or we pack your clothes and change before you say your vows. 

What Happens If The Weather Is Bad?

Most of the time, I will suggest that we embrace whatever the weather brings us.  Honestly, crazy weather makes for amazing photos and heck of a lot fun with the right mindset. Weather such as wind or rain even enhances emotions and storytelling. 

That being said, if the weather is dangerous, we will absolutely pivot to our Plan B location that will also be amazing. Weather and climate are also factors we want to discuss when choosing a location so that we can plan the most optimal time of year to avoid known issues. 

Yes, I hand edit every image so that they are all professional quality and match my style of editing. 

However, I will not photoshop people's natural bodies. My entire philosophy behind my business is to capture couples as authentically as possible and I personally do not believe in the idea that we can photoshop ourselves into fake versions of ourselves.

I want to capture the REAL, messy, and imperfect moments. That's what is going to be long-lasting memories. That said, I will digitally remove acne breakouts or scars if you want as long as it can be covered with makeup and just needs a touchup.

Do you edit our photos?

Engagement & Couple Adventure Sessions take 2-3 weeks. 
Elopements & Small Weddings take 6-8 weeks.

All images are delivered via an online gallery you can download and share however many times you want. Prints, framed photos, and other products as well as albums are also available for order in the online gallery. 

I will also design an album that tells your wedding day story the best and you'll have the opportunity to make comments and edits before we order the album. 

How long will it take to get our photos back?

No. I have in the past, but I've found that couples is where my heart lies. Capturing authentic love is what sets my soul on fire. By specializing in just couples and then even more so on just elopements and small weddings, I'm able to serve my clients with an even better experience and give you all of my attention.
